Troubleshooting Login Issues

Tips for resolving Snorkl login issues, including SSO setup, whitelisting domains, and troubleshooting common errors.

Updated over a month ago

Students log in to Snorkl using Single Sign-On (SSO) with their Google or Microsoft account credentials. If students are having trouble logging in, try the following steps:

1. Check Google or Microsoft Access Settings

  • For districts that use Google Sign-On, Google Trusted Access must be enabled for Snorkl to connect.
Learn more about enabling Google Trusted Access here → [PDF link]

  • For districts that use Microsoft Sign-On, ensure Snorkl has been approved as an authorized application within your district’s Azure settings.

2. Whitelist Snorkl Domains

To ensure Snorkl loads correctly and SSO functions without interruption, whitelist the following URLs in your district’s network filters or firewalls:

  • snorkl.app

  • teacher.snorkl.app

  • student.snorkl.app

For a full list of URLs to whitelist, please contact us at [email protected].

3. Confirm Student Account Access

If students are unable to log in:

  • Verify they are using their school-issued account (not a personal Gmail or Outlook account).

  • Ask them to log out and back into their school Google or Microsoft account before visiting Snorkl again.

  • Have them navigate directly to student.snorkl.app.

4. Clear Cache and Cookies (if needed)

Sometimes login errors can be caused by cached data.

Try:

  1. Clearing browser cache and cookies.

  2. Closing and reopening the browser.

  3. Logging in again.

5. Browser and Device Recommendations

  • Make sure the browser is up to date.

6. Still Having Trouble?

If login issues continue, please reach out to [email protected] with:

  • The student’s browser and device type.

  • Whether they’re using Google or Microsoft login.

  • A screenshot or brief description of the error message.
