Snorkl utilizes Google & Microsoft SSO systems to ensure secure, easy access for teachers and students. Below are the setup requirements and permissions your IT team will need to enable student sign-in.
🔐 Single Sign-On (SSO) Options
Google Sign-On
For districts using Google Workspace for Education, Snorkl connects via Google Sign-On (SSO).
To enable this connection, Google Trusted Access must be turned on.
Action Required: Your district IT administrator must enable Google Trusted Access for Snorkl. Learn more.
ID: If you have trouble locating Snorkl in the Google Admin directory, please reach out to [email protected] for Snorkl's ID Number.
Once enabled, Snorkl users will be able to sign in using their district Google accounts without any additional passwords or setup.
Microsoft Sign-On
For districts using Microsoft 365, Snorkl supports authentication through Microsoft Sign-On (Azure Active Directory).
Action Required: Ensure Snorkl has been approved as an authorized application within your district’s Azure AD enterprise applications.
Snorkl requests standard permissions necessary for authentication and user profile information (name, email).
Once approved, staff and students can log in with their district Microsoft credentials.
