What to Do After Editing an Activity That’s Already Assigned

We always recommend trying an activity as a student before assigning it — but we know that sometimes changes need to be made while students are already working!

If you make edits to an activity that’s already been assigned, here’s what to know:

  1. Edit within the assigned activity.
Navigate to your class → click the activity → go to the Edit tab.
Make any changes here to ensure they apply to the active version your students are using.

  2. Sync your changes.
After editing, use the Sync button to update your other copies of the activity across classes or templates.
Learn more about syncing changes here.

  3. How edits affect student work.

    • Any new responses submitted after your edits will reflect your updates automatically.

    • Existing responses won’t change on their own — you can manually regenerate the feedback by clicking Regenerate Feedback on each response.

    • Note: You can quickly move through student responses using your keyboard arrow keys.
