Recommended Number of Problems per Snorkl Whiteboard Activity

Learn how to structure your Snorkl whiteboards for the best AI feedback and student engagement — including when to combine or separate multiple questions.

Updated yesterday

It’s recommended to include one question per whiteboard for the most effective AI feedback and student learning experience.

While Snorkl’s AI can handle multiple problems on a single whiteboard, the student experience is stronger with fewer problems per activity.

💬 Targeted Feedback

Snorkl always provides 2–3 pieces of feedback. Having one question per whiteboard allows the AI to give targeted feedback — celebrating what the student did well and identifying specific areas for improvement on that specific problem.

🗣️ Encouraging Thoughtful Revisions

Snorkl requires students to submit a complete response each time. With multiple questions on a single whiteboard, students must re-explain their thinking for each question every time they retry.

Shorter, focused prompts keep students engaged and make it easier for them to act on feedback.

🔁 When to Include Multiple Parts

If a problem builds on itself (e.g., part a → part b), it is recommended to include both problems on the same whiteboard since the second part depends on the first and the reasoning connects directly.

Otherwise, consider separating unrelated problems into different activities.

📅 Organizing Multiple Questions
If you want students to complete several smaller whiteboards in one sitting, you can assign them all with the same start and due date. This keeps the experience cohesive while still allowing for detailed, high-quality feedback on each task.

💡 Teacher Tip:
When in doubt, think of each Snorkl whiteboard as a single “learning moment.” The clearer the focus, the deeper the student reflection — and the better Snorkl can support their growth.
