By default, all Snorkl activities give feedback in each student’s selected default language (set in their profile - Learn More Here).
However, teachers may want to override this and ensure that every student receives feedback in the same specific language for an activity.
You can set this at the activity level while editing any activity.
How to Set the Feedback Language for an Activity
Open the activity you’d like to edit
(either from a template in My Library or within a class)
Scroll to the bottom of the Edit Activity page.
Click More Options to expand the section.
Locate AI Feedback Language.
Use the dropdown to change from “Student’s Default Language” to the specific language you want students to receive feedback in.
Once set, students cannot toggle their feedback language for this activity — the language you choose will override their individual settings.
When Would I Use This?
Here are a few common use cases:
🌎 World Language classes:
Ensure all students receive feedback in the language they are studying (e.g., Spanish, French, Mandarin, etc.).🏫 Dual-language or bilingual programs:
Keep feedback consistent by choosing the instructional language used for that unit or lesson.👥 Classes where all students share the same home language:
Support accessibility and comprehension by delivering feedback in the language the whole group speaks.🔄 Teacher preference for consistency:
When you want every student to receive the same language feedback regardless of their default individual settings.
