Fixing a Blank Whiteboard: Enable Hardware Acceleration

If the Snorkl whiteboard loads with an error or goes blank when you click into it, this is often caused by hardware acceleration being turned off in your browser settings. Enabling hardware acceleration typically resolves the issue immediately.

How to Fix It

  1. Open your browser.

  2. Click the three dots (⋯) in the top-right corner.

  3. Select Settings.

  4. In the left-hand menu, click System.

  5. Find the setting Use graphics acceleration when available.

  6. Toggle it ON.

  7. Click Relaunch to restart your browser.

Once your browser relaunches, refresh Snorkl and try opening the whiteboard again.

Why This Happens

Snorkl’s whiteboard relies on browser graphics processing to load and run smoothly. If hardware acceleration is disabled, the whiteboard may fail to render properly and appear blank.
