Download Student Work as PDFs

Learn how teachers and students can download student work and Snorkl feedback as PDFs.

Downloading a student response as a PDF creates an artifact of the student’s work along with the feedback they received from Snorkl. Teachers can download PDFs for an entire class or an individual student, and students can download their own work from their Portfolio.

PDF downloads are available for Whiteboard Recording, Whiteboard Only, Audio Only, and Writing Response activities.

Download PDFs for an Entire Class

From an activity, you can download student responses for the entire class together in one file.

  1. Open the activity and navigate to the Responses page.

  2. Select Export.

  3. Select Export Responses as PDF.

  4. Choose the Response Version you’d like to download:

    • Best Response

    • First Response

    • Latest Response

  5. Choose which students to include.

  6. Select Export

The download will group the selected response from each student into one file, including their work and Snorkl feedback.

📌 Note: Exporting all attempts from every student in a class is not available at this time. The class PDF will include one response per student based on whether you selected Best, First, or Latest.

Download PDFs for an Individual Student

You can also download work for a specific student directly from their response.

  1. Open the student’s response.

  2. Click the three dots in the upper-right corner.

  3. Choose:

    • Export as PDF (current) to download the response you’re currently viewing.

    • Export as PDF (all) to download all of that student’s responses for the activity.

When you select Export as PDF (all), all of the student’s responses for that activity will be grouped together in one file.

Students Can Download Their Own PDFs

Students can also save a PDF of their own work directly from their Portfolio.

  1. Navigate to the Portfolio tab.

  2. Find the response you’d like to download.

  3. Click the three dots next to the response.

  4. Select Export as PDF.

The PDF will include that specific response and the Snorkl feedback the student received.

💡 Ways to Use Downloaded PDFs

PDFs make it easy to save and share student learning outside of Snorkl. Consider using them to:

  • Build student portfolios.

  • Share student work during conferences with parents or guardians.

  • Document student progress over time.

  • Save examples of student thinking and growth.

  • Give students an artifact of their learning to revisit or reflect on.
