Teachers can add videos directly to Snorkl whiteboards to provide instructions, demonstrate a concept, or give students a video to analyze before responding.
Videos can be added from YouTube or by uploading a video file from your computer.
Note: Video upload is available on the teacher side only. Students cannot upload videos as part of their responses.
How to add a video
Open a whiteboard while creating or editing an activity.
Click the Video button in the whiteboard toolbar.
Choose one of the following options:
Add by YouTube URL – Paste a YouTube link.
Upload video file – Select a video from your computer.
If uploading from your computer, supported file types include:
MP4
MOV
WebM
Once added, drag the video anywhere on the whiteboard and resize it as needed. Note: On the student side, videos automatically play in full-screen mode.
How students use videos
✅ Students can:
▶️ Play and pause videos during the activity.
⏯️ Rewatch videos as many times as needed while completing their response.
🚫 Students cannot:
Upload their own videos.
Replace or edit teacher-added videos.

Tip: Videos can be combined with text, images, manipulatives, audio clips, and drawing tools to create engaging, interactive whiteboard activities. Students can reference the video as they explain their thinking.
